With so many fabulous learning opportunities available, it’s patently unfair that any child should forego an educational opportunity because of financial limitations. Strawbery Banke Museum recognizes this. The Museum’s History Within Reach program provides transportation and tuition, so that students at underserved schools have the same opportunity to explore learning through extra-curricular exploration and engagement. Our work? To prepare a grant request to allow the Museum to open its doors to 1,500 additional children. The result? Just ask any one of those 1,500 students, and they’ll tell you about a day that, for them, was right out of the history books.
